Some paints work better than others in different types of painting equipment.

I do not know about ACE paint, but if its too thin then that is your problem, then there is Glidden that would cause problems on the other end of the spectrum meaning its too thick.

I would go to SW and get that A-100 interior paint and it should work fine. There is a test of viscosity with paint using a pencil. Your paint should not run down the pencil, but slowly slog down the pencil.

Try a thicker paint.
