that diagnosing the cause of the roll in your potential future kitchen is not possible at this distance. That's the reason to have the inspections done . . .the inspector should be able to tell what the cause is, and point you to the type of repair that will be involved. If you go FHA, yes, they will inspect very thoroughly, and have even been known to sandbag sales by the amount of repairs they require before they'll finance. In your case, that may not be such a bad thing. At any rate, don't wait for whomever you are doing your financing through to bring up the issue of inspections--get moving on it ASAP. Unless you aren't that hot to buy this place anymore.
