urine smell from the concrete posted by T Gale on October 31, 2000 at 06:37:13:
We had a very old dog who was incontinent. My family room is on a slab which was carpeting. After the dog died and before we replaced the carpeting, I got down on my hands and knees with half strength Clorox and water and scrubbed the entire floor. I did this in the spring so that the windows could be left open to air out the smell. I also used a mask as the Clorox is over-powering. I put fans on in the room to help dry out the concrete. After that, I did a final mopping of the concrete with Pine-Sol. We let this dry with the fans blowing, and then ordered new carpeting. No smell. Hope this helped a little.
