Dave, I bet you a beer if you do the geometry you'll agree with me.
I drew it on paper, did the formula, etc., and I don't see how the particular zoning restriction can RESTRICT the height based on width. The maximum mid-height is fixed by the zoning, the eave height doesn't change, so the maximum peak doesn't change (it is not restricted) in different width buildings. Only the roof pitch changes.
Am I missing something? I am using mid-height as halfway between the peak and the eave (the point where the wall intersects the eave). --Billy
