I think you could lower your heating bills, by making sure you have the proper humidity in the home. In every area of the country, when it gets cold, the humidity changes. When you have cold temperature and no humidity, you feel colder, because you are loosing moisture from your skin. By adding humidity to your home, you can lower your heating, and still feel warmer. Since water carries more heat than air, and you loose less moisture from your skin, when you add moisture to the air temperature, you feel alot warmer from head to foot.
