Well, now that I have soaker hoses installed outside my house I want to install a humidifier inside!
Last winter I did not use a humidifier because I didn't want the excess moisture released in the house. It's an older house and not airtight so the warm moist air will hit the cooler air in the walls and attic (walls are not insulated). The house really dried out though, and it was not good for the wood floors, door casings, moldings etc., not to mention the people.
What do you think about humidifiers? I would get one that installs in the central heating system.
Is Aprilaire the best one to use? The 760 and 768 adjust the interior humidity levels in part based on outdoor air temperture.

Should I get a Honeywell electrostatic or are others as good or better? (or should I just buy a bunch of used bug zappers from the people who sell soaker hose?)
