how tough is sheathed electrical cable?

Posted by dan on November 24th, 2001 11:42 PM

I was doing some rewiring, I noticed that there was some sheathed electrical cable put in by the previous owner that used metal staples to hold it in place. Some of the staples were not hammered in, but were smashed down on the wire. I carefully removed a couple of those staples, & noticed that the wire had crush mark or deep indentation on it. The white jacket was not damaged, is this any thing to be concerned about?
