How to install wood windows in a brick 150 yr old house

Posted by Wally on December 31st, 2002 01:05 AM

I need information on how to install wood windows in a historic 150yr old brick townhouse. We will be starting with the brick (no wood left over from the previous windows). Is there any framing we need to do in the brick opening even though the windows come in one piece? How will that look from the outside? Any suggestions on web sites, articles or books which tell us clearly how to install new Wood windows in a historic brick house?

Thanks!!!!!
