How To Install A Tile Floor ...

Yes, you'll need some sort of cement backerboard. In doing this project, it's important to remember that you're gonna be raising the floor a bit. This will matter where you have doorways and hallways and trim and such in the kitchen, going into other rooms. So keep this in mind before you do anything. (That's one thing that's not mentioned in the attachement I'm providing.)

I'm gonna spare you the details and refer you directly to Flooring Installs for info on how to install Ceramic Tiles. Bookmark the site as it has a lot of good info. As usual, if you have more questions, post up. DO read through the entire process before you begin. It will prove useful to know what you're getting into before you get going. (Your post sounds as though you're doing this for the first time.)
