How To Clean Oily Gunk Off Wood Floors

Posted by Carl on December 6th, 2001 05:26 PM

I'm a massage therapist, and work in a room with wood
floors. I use various oils in my practice, some of
which ended up on the floor over the years. Mixed with
a little dust, I have some gunky spots as well. How can
I clean this stuff off the floor? I know glue remover
works well, but I want to use something that won't make
the room smell like a chemical factory. Min Wax wood
cleaner doesn't seem to help, nor does Murphy's oil
soap. Both seem to make the floor tacky as well. Any
sugestions are greatly appreciated.
