Hot Water Inadequate in the Winter

Posted by Ron on December 19th, 1997 09:11 AM

I have a 4 year "young" new oil furnace which supplys both the heat
for my baseboards and my hot water. I don't know if there is something
wrong w/the design/layout of the plumbing (house built in '69) of if
the furnace is simply too small. I live in an oversized cape in CT,
the comp that installed the unit said it was/is a very good, popular
unit. Short of getting the original company back which isn't possible
as they went too large w/commercial work, any ideas? I'm thinking of
adding an electric hot water heater so the furnace only provides heat.
