BC is right about the solids collecting there. All tanks have a bottom blowdown valve just for this purpose. Wait at least 30 minutes after it stops firing to let the crud settle to the bottom, and hook up a hose or place a bucket at the valve and let 'er rip. May take a few tries at first to flush it all out, but better do it weekly after this.
