Best way to find out which direction U want to go is find a contractor that specializes in complete renovations & convince him to hire U. Even if U have to start at the bottom as a clean-up person U will have a variety of the trades that U can watch and ask questions. Best way to learn techniques and tools that they require to do certain jobs. Than as you build on the experience U can also gather up the tools U require. My experience is don't zero in on one paticular facet of the reno world (unless of course this is what U want) being able to do variety of things will get U your own jobs. "A mans world" naw U think of ways to do it better.
