I have a sump pump that is hooked up to drain to the outside of my home into the backyard. But.. there is also a pvc pipe that is installed from the pump to the sewer drain pipe. There is a valve on it that you can turn the water flow to either drain to the sewer or it can drain the normal way via the pvc that leads to the back of my house. Now when the house is inspected by a potential home buyer, are they going to make me remove that pvc piping that is leading to the sewer or is it considered ok that there is a valve that you can direct the water flow outside? I know how picky home inspectors can be.
