I realize that the normal questions are for home
renovations, however I thought I would submit my question anyway. My
son is currently refinishing a toybox for his children,
it was his when he was a child. He is looking for safety
hinges for this toybox. He has seen the ones he wants
on a toybox in a hobby store but the owner was unable to
tell him where the hinges were purchased. The hinges he
say were NOT self closing, they mounted inside the toybox,
and when the lid was closed, it stayed in whatever position
it was left, it did not continue to close, or slam down.
He does not want the fingers of his children to get caught
in the lid. The hinges do exist as he has seen them. If you
are able to help us, or send us in the right direction as to
as to who might sell this particular hinge, it would be
greatly appreciated. We have inquired all over Canada
(where we live).

Thank you,
Mr. Norman Ohrn
