That was very informative but wouldn't you want to have the neutral up in a sideways mounted box so if anything fell down on it, it would hit the neutral first and not the positive?
Because the ground on a plug is longer than the prongs of the positive and neutral, would it really matter?
And who is making all this stuff fall anyway?
I know that on most of my power tools, they only have two prongs, Saws-Alls, drills, circular saws, and they came that way.
Of course every contractor has a extention cord that is missing the ground much like the circular saw with the electrical tape on it!
PS.. Don't complain, my wife is still working on the plugging in part!
