When you cut 1/4rnd(or shoe) to go on the floor ,where base meets floor, the molding is placed on the mitrebox as it would sit on the floor,one flat side against the fence the other flat side down on the table the round side faces you and you just cut left and right mitres.Now you are working directly over head which makes every thing you do upside down!Place your molding on the mitre box as I stated above,then roll it so a flat side is facing you and the round side is facing the fence of the mitrebox.Now make your left or right mitres.It helps alot if you always work in the same direction(I like left to right).Luck
