Here's what the insulation contractor proposes & cost...

This is what the guy that came out from the insulation company sent me.

1) 3 1/2" (R-11 Unfaced Fiberglass Insulation Blankets installed in unfinished basement joist ends.

2) Styrovents installed in eaves of sloped ceiling to allow for proper ventilation.

3) Blow 8 1/4" (R-19) Nominal = of Therma_Cube Plus Fiberglass Insulation into top flat ceiling.

$478.00 Total price.

He is also the one who says they can't crawl into the space so they can't insulate it. He adviced that maybe heating the crawlspace would help.

What do you all think of his proposed insulation and price?
