First of all a home center will NOT give you the kind of service that you will need. First, go to Home Depot and have a quart mixed up with the mixing instructions that you have. We know that it is wrong.
Now, take that quart of paint to Sherwin William's, Kelly Moore, or Ben Moore and ask them to assist you. you will need to do this when they are not busy because your situation might take an hour or so. Might try early Sunday after they open.
If you know what the right color should look like then you can direct them to make the changes with their maching until it comes close to what your once had in 97.
When the color is matched, they will then re create the mix and make your paint as you want.
Remember, the paint on your walls dried will not look like the color swatch your decided upon. Lighting whether natural or artificial will have a big bearing on your liking or disliking the mix.
you might want to "grease their palm" a bit for this work that they will do for you. tip
