I get my contact glue and glue both sides, let it dry accordingly to instructions. Then on the particle board side, lay some long narrow strips of wood, something like yard sticks. I use some old venitian blind strips that I keep for this purpose. Leave a tail hanging out so you can reach them.
Now lay the veener on top of the particle board and move the veener around to make sure its in its precise spot, then begin pulling out the strips one at a time working away from the end you are pulling. This way you can make adjustments as you go and the strips keep the sides from touching until ready. Remember, once the top and bottom touch, they cannot be pulled apart.
