Yeah, I saw that post where you sent her forward. That is partly why I responded.....glad to hear that she may be getting a "pro" in her area involved.

Still trying to make heads or tails out of the issue with the "fabric over the lathe" thing. I am aware that there was heavy fabric wall coverings, and have seen some of it, but never have I seen it used over lathe as if it were a substitute for plaster, as if this were a way to cut costs on a limited budget. Reminds me of the "basement" house they used to do a lot of in the early 50's as a way to get the house started. Build the basement now, move in , and then complete the rest later as money flow improved.

Who knows. but I am always interested.
