I AM CURRENTLY REMODELING MY BATHROOM, HAVE PUT DOWN CERAMIC TILE FLOOR AND DRILLED HOLES THROUGH TILE FOR WASTE WATER AND SUPPLY LINES (CLAW FOOT TUB). POOR PLANNING HAS PUT MY WASTE WATER LINE AND ONE SUPPLY LINE DEAD CENTER IN THE MIDDLE OF A FLOOR JOIST. WITH HOLES ALREADY IN TILE THOUGHT I WOULD PUT JACKS UNDER JOIST, OUTSIDE OF WHERE I'M CUTTING, CUT IT OFF, INSTALLING DOUBLE 2X10 HEADERS ON EITHER SIDE THEN REMOVE JACKS. I WILL BE REMOVING ABOUT 12" OF JOIST WHICH ARE 16" ON CENTER. DOES THIS SOUND REASONABLE?

THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP.
