I have a great little house built in 1920 - with great looking (though old) oak? hardwood. But I had to tear through a few layers of flooring to get to it. Now there is plenty of glue on the floor. Best advise I found on the net so far was to use mineral spirits and scrape it off. Thats great... but what is mineral spirits? Other places say to use the solvent! - as if there is only one kind for this? Guess I'll have to go ask the idiots over at my local Home Depot. The net just sucks for this kind of info!
