installed about 2 yrs ago armstrong's answer to pergo in our kitchen. really would have preferred real wood and it was a tough decision. glad i have it now. we have 2 120+ lb. mutts who like to take the corners as fast as possible chasing a toddler. the toddler is usually carrying either a toy or some form of food or beverage. so far, not a scratch. looks as good as the day it was installed (except for one area... see below). some thoughts... if there's a spill, clean it up. the sooner the better. if you let it sit for a long time, you can do damage (as with most floors). do not drop heavy metal objects, they will mar the surface. also, as we found out, any sand like grit fronm dirty shoes/paws can scratch the surface if ground in and slid on. replacing a section requires some precise cutting and router work. luckily the ground grit was in the closet. i still prefer the look of real wood, but at this stage in our lives, that's not a reality. good luck.
