Moaning sounds are often heard in pipes when a valve is left in a semi-closed position, or the washer that seals the valve opening has become loose. The water rushing by the seat creates a vibrating sound. Look for an obstruction of this kind in the line or in a valve between the branch where the water leaves the main and the outlet taps.
