hardwood glue down

The process the contractor uses ,as it was explained to me, is to use a product called "Bostitch Best" which sells for about $129.99 per 5 gallons. This polyurethane glue is applied to the floor and the wood is applied to it. The wood should have notches in the bottom to allow for the glue to adhere to it. Also I was told to be sure to allow the wood to acclimate to the homes interior for at least 10 days.
