Thanks so much Henry and Tom for the valuable advice. I must admit, the fast drying time of the moisture cure will be a big factor for us. Keeping everyone out of the kitchen for even 18 hours will be tough! I understand that a continuous line of new flooring adjacent to the old is not desireable but I'm not quite sure what the tenon saw has to do with it. Is this used to prepare the new strips on the end where they are cut to length to fit in spots in the old floor area? I may have a somewhat easier time matching since the exisitng floor looks like new - it was apparently covered with carpet since new! (27 years).
