Hardwood floor refinishing.

Hi, Dave. The article in the November, 1999 Family Handyman magazine says 3 days for furniture and a month for rugs. That sounds about right. They also suggest not wearing shoes in the room for the first week.

The problem with those "superficial scuffs" is that you have probably moved some of the not quite dry finish out of one area nad piled it up in another area. Filling in the depressions is easy but you have to get rid of the "bumps" of finish. This means that you will have to sand and probably blend in with thinned poly. Since you had your floor finished, I suggest that you have the pros do the repair as well. Fixing spots like you have is tough to do right and is kind of an art in itself.
