Is the paint water or oil based? When was the last time the floors were refinished? If the paint is just splatter sometimes you can gently scrape with a putty knife. Denatured alchol will cut latax and let you lift spots but try a spot in a closet and or behind a door and see what it does to the floor finish. If the floors haven't been stripped and refinished in a long time...maybe now is the time to refinish them...but if you haven't done that before it is best to hire a pro especially if sanding is required.

Good Luck!
