In order to install a wall control for the ceiling fan you will: (1). need to run sheathed electrical cable #14/2 to a switchbox (single gang or double gang) from the ceiling fan, and (2). install a ceiling fan rated speed switch. Always leave the wall switch full-on as it will control the electrical flow to the fan. Conversely, if you loose the handheld remote and the fan is on low speed, then the wall control will not be able to override the setting.

Hampton Bay sells remote (handheld and wallmounted) kits as accessories and I suppose you could purchase a wall mounted remote, set the correct code to the one used by your remote and then use whichever remote you need.

In either case you will need to run the requisite wiring to the wall mount.
