I recently purchased a Hampton Bay outside patio fan (Gazebo Plus) and within a couple of weeks the reverse switch failed--only operates in one direction now. I contacted the 800 number supplied in the package and was told that they were having wiring problems with fans made in Thailand--look in the middle of your manual and to find out where it was made. They are sending me a new fan at no cost without even asking me to supply a sales receipt or any other kind of documentation. Nor did they ask for me to return the old fan. Their problem must be pretty bad if they are that willing to replace faulty fans without any documentation whatsoever. Just asked for the model number, date and place of purchase.
