Greetings All,

I don't believe my eyes!

Water leaking inside a fire box when it rains is not a good thing.

I had this problem at my old house. It started with a drip and when the storms rolled in, I had buckets and towels and water all over the place.

We went away for two weeks and forgot to do damage control, what a mistake. It rained for a week and our rugs and furniture legs paid the price, (let alone the sub floor).

I finaly called a mason to look at the chimeny and fix it.

I don't have any idea what he did but, I gladly paid him, (I think about $250), and it never leaked again.

If I had only known that before all the nights of, drip, drip, drip, and empting buckets.

I would give one a call, life is to short.

Good luck,
