I'm afraid that a search will not yield as much as you think. A lot of the info is posted under topic where people were having water problems with their basements or crawl spaces.

The whole idea of gutters it to get the rain or snowmelt off that big surface area of your roof at least 3 feet away from your basement walls and onto a slope away from them. This is to keep your basement dry. The gutterless system drops the water right where you don't want it. A better deal is the screens that go over your gutters and keep the leaves and other trash out so you don't have to keep cleaning them out.
