grout coloration

Posted by Tony on March 30th, 2003 10:12 AM

Recently I had a leak in a tiled shower. The grout was crubling and needed to be replaced, which I did. During the process I realized I had moisture underneath the tile (I found this out because my grout would never cure but would instead stay soft requiring me to do another regrout). Anyway, after letting everything dry (by applying heat for three weeks and inserting toilet paper into the cracks for an overnight wait) I have again regrouted. Everything looks good and the grout is indeed hard but in a couple of spots the grout has a "wet" look. These spots (except for one) are exactly where I had my soft grout problems earlier. I have let the grout cure for five full days with heat applied. Should I be wary of these "wet" looking places or is this sometimes a normal occurrence that will eventually work itself out??
