Ground plug direction

The main concern is the polarity and the sizing of the wire itself. The HOT wire (Normally black) should go to the smaller plug. The NEUTRAL wire should go to the larger of the two spade connections with the ground going to the proper tie in point on that particular receptacle. It does make more sense for the ground lug to be on the bottom for safety purposes.
