I do alot of work at a housing development that surrounds a golf course, and over the years have seen alot of various attempts at solving your dilemma. The views are paramount, yet nearly every solution involves at least partial obstruction of the view. fences, wire screens, netting, shutters, trees, all have drawbacks. From what I've seen, the best solution and the happiest owners are those who simply accept that there will be some damage, while protecting the most important features. Use glass that will resist impact for vulnerable windows, shield outdoor lighting ,select tough outdoor furniture and planters, etc.( and dont forget ricochets). Then, when you are sitting around and hear a ball smack the house, rather than fret about any damage, just smile and enjoy the view.
