Going after painter

I completely agree with you on going after the painter. Problem is we built the house (therefore no GC) and the person who did it is a friend. Not anymore in my eyes, but my husband doesn't want to make waves. The idea about insurance would work, except for our deductible. My thoughts are small claims court, I don't consider someone a friend who does this and it wouldn't bother me at all to go after him. He even charged us going rate so I think I am entitled to excellent workmanship. Considering we paid someone so it would get done right. Lesson #1, NEVER have friends do work for you. Thanks for the replies, I will try the product hy recommended and sorry about the rant :-)
