Definetly go with Duration! Duration is self priming! You are spending more per gallon, but you are saving on other costs, such as priming. Duration only needs one coat on previously painted surfaces, and two coats on bare wood. This is the best exterior product on the market! Keep in mind that this product has been out for about 4 to 5 years, and no competitor has come out with anything like it! And who is saying duration does not sell? check again bud! People are paying the 40 bucks a gallon, cuz they know they can trust sherwin williams, and they are buying a quality product! If your first painter had used duration instead of the bm product, you would not be having this problem! Go with duration! You will be happy with the finished result. Oh, and sherwin williams is working on the gloss finish for duration, maybe within the year. They are always looking to improve their products!
