I have a wrought iron security strom door with a lockset that is seven inches in from the edge. In order to change the lock cylinder the door handle had to be removed. There were two screws near the handle, but the other end of the handle which also served as a housing for the cylinder was held to the door by some paint or glue that was sturdy as a spot weld, but it could be easily removed if necessary, as was this case. What material was used to glue this metal handle to the door that is as strong as a weld?
