glass no brokie-glazing...

These links are great, and thanks! However, the situation is that the window panes aren't broken, they are jus told and apparenly need reglazing. Does the procedure change in this regard? I read somewhere that one can use a small piece of metal to protect the glass from cracking if using a soldering iron or other heat source to soften the putty. Has anyone done this before on their old house?
