I have never heard of the other brand you mentioned, have PCorning in my home, basement, and love 'em. IMO, thye are 'standard' galss blocks, but sure beat the security and leakage of the old standard windows that were there. My only suggestion is that whatever brand you go with, if you are having some of your windows 'vented', stay clear of aluminum frame vents, and also, I'd suggest the vinyl hopper type vents that tilt in to the house. Mine are that way, and included little storms to put on the vented part for the winters. A neighbor had theirs done at the same time, alm. crank type vents, and they're pitted and had to operate, and leak, and were almost identical in price. Good luck. P.S. after seeing mine installed, I realize it's a completely do-able DIY project. Home Depot in my area has great how-to help and displays, and all the materials.
