I think you have ghosts. But Steve is right. Your door jamb is out of level and the top leans out more than the bottom but check it with a level to be sure. Try tightening up the top hinge or maybe it needs longer screws if it won't tighten. It could be the keyway chiseled into the door or the jamb is too shallow and removal of the hinge and a little more chiseling or sanding may help. The hinge could be sprung out of shape. If Steve's fix of a penny or dime behind the jamb is a little too drastic to where the door won't close then just try loosing the bottom hinge and the middle hinge and put a shim there until you get it back to level and true and still close. Then use a combination of layers of roofing felt, shoe box cardboard, or whatever to shim the hinges. Of course you could reshim the jamb but that is a little harder project.
