Yes get plumber refferals, try you local hardware
store also. Once the plumber explores, have him
show you exactly where the leak is,(if you haven't
already found out yourself) and exactly how he is
going to fix it. Don't be afraid to ask as many
questions as it takes for you to feel comfortable.
Remember You are paying him, and if he gets
irritated over questions then he needs a character
adjustment,which is his problem, not yours.
You might also ask ahead of time what his hourly
rate is (if he uses one), so you won't be surprised
when you get the bill>
