I haven't done it personally, but to change out the bearing, you are probably going to have to take it down anyway. If it has an expansion pin going thrugh it, then you need a punch the same size to remove it and you will need new pins to go back in. The gdo mounts from the ceiling should be the same and the mount on the garage door should either interchange or the new one going on in the same place without a great amount of difficulty to install. Never heard of the wheel/bearing being a big problem but don't know for sure. Check the tension of your door springs as the door should open easily by hand or maybe you are straining the wheel too much and it will happen again. Take the old one apart and before deciding and then you will know what you want to do.
