Furnace problems

I have an Armstrong furnace that doesn't work properly. Flames shoot out the front of it when it kicks on. I've cleaned the burner assembly and checked the limiter switch, wiring etc. and nothing seems to help. Gas flow to the furnace is fine, e.g. no leaks or clogs. This is only 6 years old so any imput aside from buying a new one would be greatly appreciated.
