furnace not heating up to temp

Posted by Tammy Card on January 29th, 2003 05:36 PM

The forced-heat natural gas furnace is not keeping house up to temp. The blower comes on, pilot "fires up", then shuts down before reaching optimal temp. Called repairman- replaced filter only, still having problems. The ignitor board flashes four times then pauses. Occassionally, it will reach temp. Right now thermostat set at 85 but only 68.
Thermostat was replaced.
Please advise, cold in Michigan.
