Dear Martha

If you need a new furnace Lennox will supply you one for FREE. Lennox did have a Pulse Insection Program from October 10, 1997 until July 1,1999 in USA & Canada. There was a pressure test of the heat exchanger. It would have to hold 4 pounds per square inch pressure for 10 minutes. This Pulse Inspection Program at that time cost the homeowner nothing. Lennox also supplied the homeowner a free CO detector. Lennox and its dealers tried very hard to notify all previous "pulse furnace owners".

If the furnace failed the inspection and pressure test that were installed before 1990 a new furnace and labor cost subsidy from $360 to $640, paid by Lennox. Obviously you have missed this opportunity, but dispare not.

Lennox still offers "TO ALL HOMEOWNERS OF PULSE FURNACES" a new furnace if existing one has failed. In your case a Lennox G14Q3-100-2 would be replace with a new model Lennox G51MP-48C-110.

Here's the exact wording from Lennox "Service and
Application Notes" dated Feb. 1,2001 and re-issued Nov. 3, 2003. Concerning Heat Exchanger Warranty. "With the supply of replacement heat exchangers exhausted, a new G51MP furnace will be furnished to satisfy the remaining portion of the warranty. Just as the warranty does not cover labor and shipping of the G51MP is not covered. If the homeowner wishes to upgrade to another Lennox furnace, the homeowner will be reponsible for the cost difference betweeen the two furnaces. The dealer is to order the upgrade furnace and will receive credit on the G51MP furnace only."

"In order to process a warranty claim of this type, the Lennox dealer must complete the attached form and have it signed by the homeowner.

Go in the internet to www.davelennox.com enter you zip or postal code (Canada) for your dealer nearest you. Have the furnace checked over to see if it needs replacement and remember if a new furnace is required Lennox is providing one for FREE.

Don't be to hard on Lennox or its dealers, we're going more than the extra mile to rectify this problem. Most other manufactures would have just walked away and declared bankrupcy. I know of other furnace companies that have. Give us Lennox Dealers a break.

Maybe phone two dealers in your area and compare prices for the cost of the installation. Remember your getting the frunace "Gratis".

Best regards,

John Boy
