The motor is controlled by relays. When the heat exchanger gets hot enough, a relay will close sending power to the motor.
Most Lenox furnaces have a series of high limit switches and a control board that must work perfectly together in order to obtain the desired results. Also, wiring for the motor and thermostat are crucial.
It is best to have the system look at by an experience tech.
