Frozen septic pipes

Posted by Fonda on January 13th, 2001 09:22 AM

HELP! My septic pipes have been frozen for 2 weeks. Nothing has worked so far. I,ve tried a torpedo heater but I have a 2000 sf manufactured home on piers and there is too much unheated area to try to warm up. My septic pipes are about 70 ft long and there is no way to determine if they are frozen all the way through and if not then where they are frozen. Is there something I can put down the drain to help thaw them. I live in Western NY with no hope of a thaw in site until probably MAY!
