i believe that if you started 2 do a project like fixin what ur referring to,& you screw it up somehow Real bad,ins Will cover,But if you hire out,they must have coverage & then it gets to be a big leghthy proceddure.Exampl....i tore of my roof,done all the work,had alot of rain,got water dam,cause no roof,but a tarp& Bang my ins. coverdapprx 25k,swear.EVERY POLICY IN ALLWAYS DIFFERENT THOUGH...YOU GET AN ARBORIST,THEY CUT A TREE DOWN,IT DAMS UR PROPERTY,YOU TAKE THEM 2 COURT& THE HOLE BULL,if you cut the tree down,it falls on your house,ur homeowners will cover for u being a f*up,like i said........ALL policies are different
